Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, faulty goods should be repaired, replaced or refunded by the seller, not the manufacturer. If you reject them within 30 days, you can usually seek a full refund; after that, the retailer may first offer a repair or replacement. Contact the retailer in writing, explain the fault, and keep your receipt, photos and any other evidence. If you cannot resolve the issue, Citizens Advice can explain your options, and a solicitor regulated by the SRA can advise on more complex disputes.
