Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods should be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If you reject faulty goods within 30 days, you will usually be entitled to a full refund from the retailer, not the manufacturer. After 30 days, you can normally ask for a repair or replacement; if that fails, you may be able to seek a refund or price reduction, although a deduction for use can apply in some cases. Keep your receipt and evidence of the fault, and check the guidance on GOV.UK or Citizens Advice if the retailer disputes your claim.
