Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods should be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If you reject faulty goods within 30 days, you will usually be entitled to a full refund, although exceptions can apply. After 30 days, you normally need to give the retailer an opportunity to repair or replace the item; if that fails or is not possible, you may be able to seek a price reduction or final refund. Contact the retailer with proof of purchase, and consider advice from a consumer organisation or solicitor if the dispute continues.
