Claiming Universal Credit does not remove your employment rights: you should still receive at least the legal minimum wage, payslips, paid holiday and protection from discrimination. Your Universal Credit may change as your earnings change, and you may need to report work or income changes and meet any agreed commitments with your work coach. If you are treated unfairly, contact Acas or Citizens Advice for guidance, and check GOV.UK for current Universal Credit rules. For a complex dispute, consider advice from a solicitor regulated by the SRA.
